More buried treasure, this time from a cassette stash I have found. I knew it would be good cos it bore the silver scrawl of my old friend NEIL GRANT on the cover [not unlike the one shown above]…
His is the voice to be found on the track ‘Closer’ which I messed with on the last EP I did, ‘DUMB HEROES’ and he has recorded & released a bewildering array of fantastic tracks for as long as I have known him (which is a really long time).
He lives in France now but at one time in the mid 90s we shared a flat and a 4-track portastudio in Motherwell & we would while away days & months recording his songs & mine…
A lot of the recordings were fairly unhinged and naturally fairly primitive, but I reckon a couple of them are still worth a listen. This is one of his, from about 1994-5.
I looked online for an image of Neil Grant & I felt this was good, if not actually him…
